The mission of the Geraldton Medical Group is to provide high quality, caring medical services to our patients and their families.
On-call doctors
GMG has on-call doctors available for people passing through, or new to Geraldton.
The facility is looking to the provision of after hours, urgent care services for patients with private health insurance.
- At the moment our doctors are participating in the After Hours GP Clinic at St John of God Private Hospital. GMG doctors are also available for for inpatients at St John of God Hospital.
Accredited teaching practice
GMG is an accredited teaching practice for general practice registrars and medical students.

About the Geraldton Medical Group
The Geraldton Medical Group is Geraldton's oldest medical practice and the largest of the group medical practices in Geraldton, Western Australia.
GMG was formed over 30 years ago, and operated from the Town Towers building before moving into the Royce Wing in the brand new Community Health Centre near the Regional Hospital on Shenton St in 1977.

Public Hospital
With the construction of the new public hospital in 2004 and the establishment of resident doctors there, having an on site private practice was no longer deemed advantageous by Country Health, so the Medical Group was required to seek alternative premises.
In April 2005 the group moved to Augustus Street. A second site at 32 Holland St was leased in 2006 with the arrival of more doctors. VPN internet connection allowing the sharing of electronic data between the sites.
Preparations
This move has precipitated many changes within the practice with the employment of a business manager and an expansion of Enhanced Primary Care and the utilization of more nurses in patient management. Land was purchased in 2004 for the construction of Health Central Geraldton.
Health Central Geraldton opened its doors to the public on 27th October 2008.
